Paro - Jele Dzong
This is a short trekking day. The trail ascend gradually to camp.
If weather permits, Paro valley can be seen with snow capped Mountain behind. Altitude: 2,590 m, distance : 7 km.
Jele Dzong - Janchulakha
Distance: 135km (5-6hrs)
Elevation: 3,000m / 9,843ft.
Begin with about 30- minute climb. The trail then takes you through thick forests and rhododendron trees . you may see yak herders around Your riverside campsite. Altitude : 2900m, distance 10 km .
Janchulakha - Jimilangtso
The trail follows the ridge . On clear day, there are beautiful views of Mountain and the valley . Camp near Jimilangtso. If you are lucky, you Might enjoy trout for dinner. Altitude 3,350 m, distance 11 km.
Jimilangtso – Simkota
The trail leads through dwarf rhododendron trees and then passes by lake Jenetso . you might see camps fo yak herders en route. Camp near Simkota Lake . Altitude : 3,800 m, distance 11 km.
Simkola - Phajoding
The trail continues with the gradual climb. If weather permits, beautiful Views of mount Gangkar Puensum can be seen. Then slowly descend to Phajoding. Overnight in trekking shelter or camp in tents . Altitude: 3,116m,Distance 10 km.
Phajoding - Thimphu
The trek to Thimphu is down hill through an area forested with blue pine. Taking it leisurely, you reach Hotel Mothithang in about 3 hours for a hot Shower and nice lunch. Evening at leisure. 2,640 m, distance 8 km.
Thimphu - Paro
Morning : Thimphu sightseeing. After lunch: Drive to Paro.
Dinner and overnight: Naksel Boutique Hotel and Spa.
Departure
After breakfast transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.
